Hello and welcome to Smart BioPrint. This article will provide you the information you need to have your fingerprints taken for a wide variety of reasons. But first, let’s talk briefly on who we are, what we do and where do we have the services available.

Smart BioPrint is a registered Fingerprinting and Background checking company primarily based in Cary, North Carolina. We are an approved FBI channeling services provider who is authorized not only to capture the fingerprints but also to send it directly to the FBI database through an FBI channelor. However, there are limitations on who can send electronic fingerprints to FBI or the SBI. Smart BioPrint currently have fingerprinting stations in Cary, North Carolina and Manitowoc, Wisconsin. We are also expanding to additional States/locations.

When you first visit our website Smart BioPrint.com, you will see the appointment link with all the fingerprinting services available. FD-258 is the most widely utilized non criminal background check fingerprint card method and is used for Medical Licenses, Nursing License, Real Estate License, Firearm License, Employment and many more. Your requesting agency may have sent you the cards already. If not, we have the updated version of FD-258 in stock.

For other reasons such as reviewing your records against FBI database, or if you have applied or are applying for immigration benefit, visa or work authorization to a foreign country and they require you to have FBI clearance or you are adopting a child then you can select the FBI direct submission option.

Once you have selected the appropriate fingerprint type, the scheduling link will take you to a page for you to choose the most convenient time for your physical visit to the station and have your fingerprints done. The appointment is complete after you have chosen your preferred date and time and paid the fee online through our secure payment system.

ON your day/time of appointment, when you arrive at the station, Fingerprinting technician will ask for your current form of identification. Driver License or a state issued ID is preferred to positively identify you. An unexpired passport or a permanent resident card could also be used in case you do not have the State ID.

Your personal and demographic information is directly scanned from your ID into the LiveScan system. You will have a chance to review and amend this information for accuracy. The fingerprinting technician then starts capturing your fingerprints. Your left 4 fingers flat, right four fingers flat, left thumb flat and right thumb flat are captured before moving into rolled impressions nail to nail on all 10 fingers.

Once the capture process is complete, the technician will review all images thoroughly to minimize the chances of rejection of your fingerprints. If any of the captured images are not up to the standard, the technician will recapture the ones that are improper.

On the next step, both you and the technician are going to sign which then be digitally printed on the physical card.

The fingerprint cards are now printed from an FBI appendix F certified printer. All fingerprint cards produced by Smart BioPrint do have the serial number of the LiveScan device used, the quality standard in the form of gradient graphic and date and time of the fingerprint.

The Fingerprint cards become your property now. You can carry with you or mail those right from the store using either of the carriers. Depending on individual location, you may have all or at least one from FedEx, UPS, USPS and DHL available to ship domestic and international.

Let’s know more about the FBI direct submission now. The entire fingerprinting process is same except for the final step. Instead of receiving the card, you will have your record submitted directly to the FBI. FBI then will send the response back in your personal email within 24 to 48 hours at most cases. Make sure you provide your personal email address which you can access from the computer. Once the response is received you will need to download and save it in your computer. This will be exclusively an one time retrieval as the report will be wiped out as soon as your result is picked for the first time.
